Putting on a big show requires resources, and we've been blown away by people's generosity again and again during our time at FOJCX. Truth is many people find they actually enjoy volunteering - you get to meet heaps of people, people are amped on racing & are generally really nice to you, you get to talk CX all day, and most jobs get to watch the racing.
One obstacle we hear occassionally is that 'I don't have any experience'. Don't let that get in the way because all vol duties are relatively easy and we will brief you so you know what's required.

Typically vol duties include;
- Track Build (inc Rock Patrol),
- Race Village set-up (marquees, sound system, power washers, bins, vol equipment etc)
- Signage (sponsor and race signage)
- Rego (the most glamorous of vol duties)
- Crossing Marshals (the child-saving superheroes of vols)
- Course Watch (watching for broken tape or displaced stakes)
- Concierge - helping overseas riders
- Other - feeding commissaires & vols, helping with bins, toilets, car parking, presentations, kids racing, pack down.
